TOURNAMENT OF THE AMERICAS ABANDONS HOUSTON, MOVES TO MEXICO

The Pan American Racquetball Confederation (PARC) recently announced that the 13th annual Tournament of the Americas, originally scheduled for Houston, Texas, has been moved to Baja California, Mexico - 20 minutes outside of Tijuana.

"The logistics of getting the delegations from the airport to the venue, as well as complications with the opening ceremonies, led to this decision," PARC Secretary General Luke St. Onge said.

The international racquetball event will be held from March 26 - April 4, its original dates. Mexico was awarded its second Tournament of the Americas event. Chihuahua hosted the 1997 PARC tourney.
