WORLD SENIOR DOUBLES EVENT CHANGES VENUE!

It was recently announced that the first annual World Senior Doubles will be re-located to Antwerpen, Belgium. The event (formerly set to be played in Paris, France) remains scheduled for June 12-20, 1999 -- and will now take place at the Indoor Sportcenter.

Antwerpen is in the northern part of Belgium, and is centrally located between Amsterdam (250k), Brussels (50k) and Paris (350k). Antwerpen is the third largest port in the world.

Located only five minutes from the historical downtown center, the Indoor Sportcenter is one of the largest sports facilities in Belgium, with two glass backwall racquetball courts, 16 squash courts, climbing wall, aerobic studio, fitness and workout areas, two saunas, plus a full bar and restaurant.

The IRF (International Racquetball Federation) and the ERF (European Racquetball Federation) are proud to announce the First World Senior Doubles Racquetball Championships

- Dates: June 17-20, 1999

- Eligibility: Men and woman over 35 years of age as of June 17, 1999.
- Directors: Gary Mazaroff, Erik Meyer.
- Format: Round-robin play in flights; winners participate in playoff on last day. There will be team champions in each age group and team (country) champions for men and women.
- Rules: 3 games to 11 points each; win by 1 point; play all 3 games. Points awarded for each point scored + 3 points for each game won + 7 points for winning the match. Self-officiated. Each player may enter only one division.
- Fee: $60 per player or $120 per team.
- Hospitality: Tournament shirt. Can of balls. Welcoming packet. Raffle ticket for prizes. 3 days of play minimum. 1 lunch per day. Banquet meal and entertainment Saturday night June 19th.

- Transportation: The Antwerp public transportation system will sponsor our event by supplying each participant with a 10 free ride booklet. There's a TRAM stop two minutes away from the club and all hotels, except the Campanille, are easily reachable.
- Hotels: There is a variety of good hotels in the vicinity of the club.
